Overnight Guest

Mom, Nephew W, and I drove to Palestine for a shower Saturday, and then W stayed the night with Carter and me. We read books, climbed in the dirty clothes hamper, played at Central Market, bit someone in the church nursery, danced like maniacs, and chased Lu until she hid under the bed. We have lots of energy. So. much. energy.

Some of us were secretly relieved when he left.

Lu just woke up for this photo last night. Sometimes her upper lip gets caught on her underbite. We like to say that she is "junkyard" when this happens. I think this moment is two parts fatigue and one part ferocity.

Time on my Hands

I know I'm boring. I only look at Antropologie and J.Crew. I'm also lazy. Too lazy to put any links on here. All you get are the pictures.

J. Cashmere Cardi

J. Bridget Dress

Anthro Poetess Blouse

Anthro Flowering Pasture Blouse

Anthro Bountiful Bird Blouse

More From Craig

A little cleaning, a few coats of that same high gloss white (or something wild), a coupla baskets on the bottom shelves, and I'd have myself a functioning kitchen island.

Craig, You Rascal!

I was browsing Craigslist for a wide but shallow hutch that could be painted high gloss white and nestled into the dining room. I also like the look of a wallpapered interior back or contrasting accent color.

Mother's Day Brunch

We celebrated this pretty lady. Look at how cute she is in her little linen blouse, pencil skirt, and kitten heels.

Now, though the festivities were for her, most of it revolved around this guy.

Who doesn't like to hold still for pictures.

Or show his face at all.

But who does like to repeatedly read Corduroy Bear and hang out with the man (bear) himself in person. But who doesn't?

We posed together outside, united in that we both loved smash-faced Cordie and neither one of us wore makeup that day.

Wooten Williams Fun

I love my in-laws and my in-law's in-laws. (You know Mo-Weezy.) We enjoyed an informal celebration of the mothers at dinner with them last weekend.

Did my insecurity about my height next to these petite ladies make me remove my left wedge and stand barefoot in this picture? Why, yes, it did. Sometimes that's just the way it goes.

Overload, I Know.

I think I've been putting up a lot of posts today, but someone put an AWESOME video link on my Facebook page (Facebook? Am I still checking that mess?), and I absolutely had to share. Gird your loins.
