Mom, Nephew W, and I drove to Palestine for a shower Saturday, and then W stayed the night with Carter and me. We read books, climbed in the dirty clothes hamper, played at Central Market, bit someone in the church nursery, danced like maniacs, and chased Lu until she hid under the bed. We have lots of energy. So. much. energy.
Some of us were secretly relieved when he left.
Lu just woke up for this photo last night. Sometimes her upper lip gets caught on her underbite. We like to say that she is "junkyard" when this happens. I think this moment is two parts fatigue and one part ferocity.
